We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to lead their continued development, ensure reliability, and drive operational excellence. You will work closely with the founding team and a group of highly-skilled engineers to shape the future of search and analytics of observability data. You will play a central role in bringing integrating cutting-edge Generative AI technologies with the Cribl Product suite to help solve real customer problems.
As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will...
- Lead a cross-functional AI product engineering team, owning strategy and execution across multiple Copilot experiences.
- Drive technical direction and product evolution for the AI stack, inference backend, and user-facing AI products.
- Oversee infrastructure, on-call rotations, and operational processes.
- Operate in a player-coach model, contributing 25–40% of your time to hands-on engineering:
- Writing evals
- Testing and debugging features
- Occasionally contributing to inference stack development
- This position will require stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties
If You've Got It - We Want It
- 4–7 years of Engineering Management experience
- Recent (within 5 years) hands-on engineering experience in: TypeScript / JavaScript, Python or Go
- Background in B2B SaaS product development
- Demonstrated interest in AI/ML
- Can articulate informed opinions about current AI trends
- Experience working directly with AI products
- Strong communication skills and leadership presence in a distributed team
Salary Range ($235,000 - $270,000)
The salary for this role is dependent on geographic location. The salary offered within the range described will be based on the individual candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl also offers a generous benefits package which includes health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus.
