Manager, Software Development

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager who is passionate about development, doing it right and having fun.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the VP, Commerce Platforms.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

• Build and lead a best-in-class engineering team

• Drive the architecture, development and delivery of high-quality, high-security, high-availability solutions

• Be an advocate for engineering best practices (such as shift left testing) and continuous improvement

• Provide hands-on coaching to the team at an architectural and code-review level

• Share your teams’ accomplishments, risks, and KPIs

• Foster a fun, inclusive, collaborative team environment

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

• 3+ years proven team management experience

• Proven development experience with React, Nodejs, and relational databases

• Proven experience architecting and delivering high-quality, high-security, and high- availability solutions

• Proven experience using GitHub and GitHub actions

• Proven experience writing unit tests, API tests and UI tests

• 3+ years of experience with cloud services (Azure would be great) and managing infrastructure as code (Terraform would be great)

• A passion for continuous learning about emerging technologies and software best practices
