The Manager, Social Services is responsible for driving day-to-day operational execution across Social Work (SW) and Social Work Coordinator (SWC) functions. This role ensures workflows are clearly defined, consistently executed, and scalable across pods and regions, with a focus on performance, quality, and efficiency.
The Manager partners closely with the Sr. Director by translating strategic priorities into actionable processes. They will have the opportunity to design, implement, and support the continuous improvement of operational processes, training programs, and frontline support structures—this role is accountable for how the work gets done—ensuring that workflows are effective, measurable, and consistently applied across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously refine standardized workflows across Social Work (SW) and Social Work Coordinator (SWC) functions
- Ensure workflows are clearly documented, consistently applied, and scalable across regions and pods
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to drive performance and consistency
- Ensure workflows, tools, and expectations are clearly understood and executed by frontline staff
- Translate training strategy into structured, repeatable training processes and materials
- Lead direct management of Social Work Coordinators, including performance expectations, coaching, and accountability, workload distribution and capacity planning, and improve visibility into SWC capacity, productivity, and output
- Standardize SWC scope of work and ensure alignment with operational priorities
- Build SWC capabilities to support evolving functions
- Lead implementation of priority initiatives and pilots, including transportation workflows, 360 integration, and Pharmacy outreach aligned to HEDIS gaps
- Translate program goals into operational workflows, SOPs, and tracking mechanisms
- Coordinate across Ops, Clinical, Tech, and Reporting teams to ensure successful execution
- Monitor pilot performance, identify barriers, and adjust workflows as needed
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare operations, social services, or behavioral health
- Experience managing teams and driving operational performance
- Demonstrated ability to build workflows and scale programs
- Experience with training development and implementation preferred
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills (Excel, PowerBI, Salesforce preferred)
- Position maybe located in Brentwood, TN or remotely with domestic travel up to 20%
