Manager, Social Media & Community

The Manager, Social Media & Community is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing Covetrus North America’s social media presence across both B2B and consumer-facing channels. This role serves as the central owner of social media strategy execution, content planning, community engagement, social listening, influencer partnerships, and performance reporting.

The ideal candidate is equal parts creative storyteller, channel expert, and performance-minded marketer. They will work closely with Integrated Marketing, Events, Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Creative teams to develop content and campaigns that strengthen brand awareness, drive engagement, support business priorities, and grow our online communities.

This role is heavily focused on B2B marketing, supporting veterinary professionals and practice teams while also overseeing consumer-facing social channels and influencer programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Own day-to-day management of Covetrus owned social media channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize social media and content calendars aligned to business priorities, product launches, events, campaigns, and industry trends.
  • Partner closely with Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Events, Corporate Communications, and Creative teams to develop engaging social content and campaigns.
  • Manage Hootsuite platform administration, including content scheduling, publishing, reporting, social listening, and channel governance.
  • Deliver recurring performance reporting and actionable insights to marketing and business leaders, identifying opportunities to improve engagement, reach, audience growth, and conversion.
  • Lead social listening efforts to identify customer sentiment, industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging topics relevant to Covetrus, our technology solutions, and veterinary customers.
  • Develop creative social concepts, campaign themes, and content recommendations that support both brand and business objectives.
  • Manage community engagement and respond appropriately to customer inquiries, comments, and conversations across social channels, engage with Corporate Communications as needed.
  • Support execution and amplification of corporate announcements, press releases, events, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Manage influencer, ambassador, and key opinion leader (KOL) programs across both veterinary and consumer audiences, including supplier-funded initiatives.
  • Establish channel KPIs and continuously optimize content performance with creative team.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to bring content concepts to life through graphics, video, and multimedia storytelling.
  • Stay current on platform updates, emerging social trends, and industry best practices, bringing innovative ideas and recommendations to the organization.
  • Support employee advocacy initiatives and identify opportunities to expand brand reach through employee and partner networks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of social media, content marketing, community management, or digital marketing experience.
  • Experience managing social media programs for B2B organizations; SaaS, technology, healthcare, veterinary, or highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media management platforms, with Hootsuite expertise strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing social content calendars and executing multi-channel social campaigns.
  • Familiarity with social analytics, reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Experience managing influencer, ambassador, or advocacy programs.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional project management and stakeholder management capabilities.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive.

The pay range for this position is as follows:

$86,300-$123,300
