The IT Operations and Global Command Center organization delivers excellence in the pursuit of those breakthroughs through industry-leading infrastructure operations performance. ROLE SUMMARY
The Manager, Service Transition is accountable for designing, implementing, and governing a structured framework that ensures new and changed services are transferred into operations in a controlled, predictable, and supportable manner. This role serves as the single point of accountability for operational readiness, ensuring that services entering Business‑As‑Usual (BAU) meet agreed acceptance criteria and can be supported effectively with minimal risk to service stability.
The Manager, Service Transition ensures that services are intentionally transitioned, fully supported, and operationally resilient. The role provides leadership confidence that new services can be adopted without introducing unmanaged risk, support debt, or disruption to critical business operations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain a standardized service transition and operational turnover framework aligned to ITIL Service Lifecycle principles.
- Define service acceptance criteria, transition checkpoints, and readiness gates required for go‑live approval.
- Own the validation of operational preparedness, including support models, monitoring, documentation, access, training, and escalation paths.
- Ensure transition issues are resolved or owned with clear accountability before full BAU acceptance.
- Partner with project, engineering, service management, and operations teams to embed operational requirements early in the delivery lifecycle.
- Measure transition effectiveness through operational stability, defect leakage, and time‑to‑steady‑state metrics.
- Continuously mature transition standards, templates, and practices to improve speed, consistency, and service quality.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in infrastructure services, working in diverse and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in audit, risk management, or compliance roles, with a strong understanding of internal controls, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess complex information and identify potential risks.
- Proven ability to develop strong partnerships across functions.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate matrixed teams.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; comfortable managing competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Experience in managing small teams.

- Associate level Industry certifications (CCNA, DEVASC, CCSA, or equivalent expertise).
