Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is hiring a Manager of SEC Reporting. The Manager of SEC Reporting is a core member of the Finance team. This is a critical role with the unique opportunity to roll up your sleeves and help build certain functions from the ground up. This position will lead the continued development of a world class global accounting organization with responsibility for a broad portfolio of areas including SEC reporting and will also support technical accounting, risk and compliance (including Sarbanes-Oxley) and treasury accounting.
This role will play an integral part in GlobalFoundries’ growth and success and will be part of a savvy accounting team and collaborate closely with cross functional departments including Legal, Investor Relations and FP&A as well as interface with outside advisors and auditors. This position reports to the Head of SEC Reporting.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a great communicator and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents.
Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance and timely filing of all SEC filing and Earnings Release.

Prepare and streamline monthly cashflow reporting and analysis including working capital.

Maintain a detailed SEC Reporting calendar.

Update, review and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with appropriate IFRS requirements.

Actively participate in company/business initiatives and projects, including operationalizing the accounting for new transactions, and accounting standards.

Evaluate processes/controls to improve efficiency (through various techniques such as process streamlining and/or automation) and effectiveness on a continuous basis.

Ensure compliance documentation in support of external and internal audit requirements.

Coordinate key timelines and deliverables with the Investor Relations and Corporate Accounting teams, and work collaboratively with various business partners to ensure timely, accurate and complete reporting and public filings

Develop and execute effective internal controls in relation to the SEC reporting process, play key role in disclosure committee processes, including meetings, certifications and resolution of matters identified

Proactively research, analyze and benchmark the disclosures of peer companies, competitors and industry trends

Develop and manage strong, collaborative relationships with peers in finance and business partners across the organization to understand the business and apply that knowledge to the financial statements and reporting

Work closely with external auditors, business leaders and senior management to ensure communication of critical issues in a timely manner

Support the Corporate Accounting team with technical assessments of non-standard transactions and lead or participate in special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field of study

CPA certification
-
8+ years of experience, preferably with combination of experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm and relevant financial reporting experience at a public company • Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, SOX and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research and preparation of accounting position papers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to details

Experience with SEC reporting tools.

Ability to explain complex concepts to executives in easy-to-understand terms but without missing the intricacy of the issues.

Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills as well as ability to effectively use accounting knowledge to collaborate, guide, and interact professionally with a wide range of personnel at various levels within the organization to drive sound business decisions.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, across different time zones.

Expected Salary Range
$95,200.00 - $202,800.00
The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
