Job Posting TitleManager, Sales Proposals - RemoteJob DescriptionThe Manager of Sales Proposals leads a team of writers within the Proposal department. This position supports Prime’s Mid-Market market segment and leads the cross-functional efforts to strategically respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), manages and improves the RFP process, creates high quality strategic proposals, and builds and maintains Prime's valuable content database. The Manager of Sales Proposals also represents the proposal team for internal and external client strategy meetings.
Responsibilities
- Provide team direction and elevate performance and progress towards reaching business and client goals; clearly communicate roles and expectations and hire and train additional staff, as needed
- Review team proposals to identify potential obstacles to success or areas of concern; work with team members, subject matter experts and/or sales to provide potential solutions to address them
- Oversee the proposal end-to-end process to ensure process adherence, timeliness, and quality; may manage large, complex projects based on team capacity
- Leverage Copilot and proposal management platform AI tools (Responsive, Loopio, etc.) to improve proposal workflow in terms of proposal quality, cycle time, and efficiency
- Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business including the translation and communication of highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Continually assess the proposal process for effectiveness and quality; promote company-wide understanding and adherence to process through trainings and on-going meetings with subject matter experts; participate in Go-to-Market meetings; and manage team liaison relationships with internal departments (e.g., Specialty, Networks, Formulary, Operations, IT, Government programs, Underwriting) to improve proposal responses and processes
- Serve as the liaison to Prime leadership for proposal status, including participation in strategy sessions and kick-off meetings as needed
- Build and manage relationships with proposal staff at Prime's clients to strategically develop and execute proposal processes for new and existing customers; build strong working relationships with client proposal contacts to manage workflow, custom content and timelines
- Organize and facilitate meetings throughout the year with Sales and Client Engagement leadership to discuss overall sales strategy, goals, process, and ensure Prime is effectively and accurately representing the varied and unique products and services
- Manage department budget, team structure, staffing, performance and development, and consistently demonstrate Prime's leadership expectations during interactions with direct reports, cross functional and external stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Business or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
- 6 years of work experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management proposals, sales planning and/or sales support
- 1 year of leadership/people management experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
