The Revenue Analytics team provides the company with insights into what drives our past and current revenue and membership trends as well as an outlook on future growth. Internally, our analytical insights help inform our growth and monetization strategy. Our revenue and membership forecasts are critical components that feed into the corporate planning process for spending and resource allocation across content, commerce, and technology.

Netflix is looking for the best and brightest candidates to use data and business insights to inform and drive key strategic decisions. We believe that we derive a significant competitive advantage from the highly analytical approach we take to managing the company. Senior management relies heavily on the Revenue Analytics team to develop a data-driven perspective on the company's growth, and the outcomes of our analyses play a critical role in how we plan for and execute on the company's business objectives.

This role is based out of Netflix’s Los Gatos, California office, and is responsible for supporting the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. The role reports to the EMEA Revenue Analytics Lead, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and collaborates closely with the global Revenue Analytics team in Los Gatos. Occasional travel to Netflix’s regional offices across Europe is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust membership forecasts (acquisition, retention, and market penetration) across various EMEA markets leveraging bottom-up and top-down approaches.

  • Work cross-functionally within the organization (Content, Partnerships, Ads, Payments, Product, Consumer Insights, Data Science, etc.) to:

    • Integrate broad and complex business inputs into near term and long term membership forecast

    • Assess and communicate the impact of business decisions such as price changes, content launches, and product innovations to facilitate planning and operational decisions

    • Research, track and generate insights about the membership growth landscape

  • Lead and support strategic value-added analyses to understand the drivers behind membership and revenue growth in the EMEA markets. 

  • Contribute to in-region pricing decisions, compiling internal and external intelligence to inform price and plan strategy

  • Support efforts to centralize and standardize revenue performance reporting, helping identify cross-region best practices to enhance scalability and consistency in business analytics

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have the ability to combine comprehensive data analytics with sound business intuition and judgment, and effectively communicate analytical insights to stakeholders. Given the questions asked of our team are often urgent in nature and have an immediate impact on how the business makes decisions, the individual coming into this role must be able to deliver accurate results promptly. They must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results, and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.

  • 7+ years of experience in a quantitative role (e.g. business analytics, management consulting, banking, investment management, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature, such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields

  • Proficiency in MS Excel & SQL required

    • Experience building quantitative models in Excel or other modeling tools

    • Experience writing complex SQL queries to analyze large data sets

    • Other coding and technical experience (e.g. VBA, Python, Tableau, etc.) is a plus, but not a prerequisite

  • Ability to independently extract, explore, and analyze big data from both internal and external sources to guide the analysis of complex issues

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly skilled in preparing effective presentations (Google Slides, MS PowerPoint) with a clear narrative and impactful visuals

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build successful relationships at all levels

  • Possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, discipline, and flexibility

  • Experience and knowledge with various EMEA markets is preferred, but not required

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $160,000 - $470,000.
