Mō te tūranga | About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Manager Reporting & Analysis to lead NZ Banking’s financial performance reporting and insight, supporting informed decision‑making at Executive, CEO, Board, and Group level.
This role owns the end‑to‑end delivery of financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, half‑year and annual), providing clear, forward‑looking analysis of key financial and non‑financial performance drivers, emerging risks, and opportunities. You’ll partner closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and the business, delivering high‑quality insight and driving continuous improvement in reporting quality, efficiency, and controls.
Key responsibilities:
Lead NZ Banking financial performance reporting for Executive, Board, regulators, rating agencies, and Group / ASX
Provide insightful analysis of key metrics including ROTE, margin, capital, RWAs, and cost‑to‑income
Deliver competitor and industry benchmarking using ASX disclosures and regulatory data
Own ad‑hoc analysis and reporting for senior leaders
Ensure strong reporting governance, data integrity, and delivery to tight deadlines
Drive process improvement to reduce manual effort and operational risk
Lead and develop Senior Analysts and uplift insight capability
Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial and non‑financial data in TM1
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
5+ years’ experience in banking or financial reporting, including executive, Board, regulatory, and Group reporting
CA (or equivalent) qualified with strong technical and commercial acumen
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience with finance reporting systems (TM1 preferred)
Proven people leadership and coaching capability
