Position Summary

The Manager, Regulatory Compliance is responsible for leading the day-to-day administration of ACCC's regulatory compliance program. Reporting to the Chief Compliance & Risk Officer, this position oversees regulatory licensing, filings, examinations, compliance monitoring, regulatory change management, policy administration, and compliance reporting. The role partners across the organization to ensure regulatory requirements are effectively implemented while supporting a culture of integrity and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

•         Manage all state debt management licenses, charitable registrations, business registrations, and regulatory filings.

•         Maintain the regulatory calendar and ensure timely renewals and reporting.

•         Monitor federal and state regulatory developments and coordinate implementation.

•         Conduct compliance monitoring and testing activities and track corrective actions.

•         Coordinate regulatory examinations and responses to regulators.

•         Draft and maintain compliance policies and procedures.

•         Maintain the Compliance Management System (CMS), compliance inventory, and regulatory documentation.

•         Review regulatory and consumer complaints and identify trends.

•         Coordinate compliance training and awareness activities.

•         Support third-party compliance reviews and due diligence.

•         Prepare executive compliance metrics and reports for the CCRO.


RequirementsQualifications

Required:

•         Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Public Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, Law, or related field.

•         Five or more years of progressive regulatory compliance experience.

•         Experience managing multi-state regulatory compliance programs.

•         Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.


Preferred:

•         Financial services, banking, consumer finance, mortgage, credit counseling, or other regulated industry experience.

•         Experience working directly with regulators and regulatory examinations.

•         CRCM, CCEP, or similar certification.

Working Conditions

  • Physical Demands: Ability to regularly move around, use hands and arms to handle, feel, reach, as well as talk and hear.  Occasional ability to lift and move up to ten pounds.  Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematic and calculation skills to include ability to calculate discounts, interests, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables, in standardized situations.
  • Work Environment: General office environment usually with moderate noise level
  • Equipment Used: Telephone and facility in using calculators. Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and basic email and Internet skills.

Essential Functions

  • This position requires on-site presence at the Auburndale, MA headquarters four days per week, with the option to work remotely one day per week.
