Manager - R&D Coatings - ISC, SEA

Job Description:

• Position Summary:

• Provide technical development & application support for the additives/surfactants used in Paints & Emulsion Polymerization market in India & ASEAN. Work closely with cross functional team members including Production, Marketing & Commercial to keep the technology objectives in line with the business priorities & growth plans.
• The position will provide customer support for existing products and for development of new products and applications. The incumbent will ensure all laboratory operations are conductedsafely.

• Specific Technical responsibilities include:
  • To assess all potential hazards and to ensure that the incumbent has full appreciation of all the safety aspects of the work.
  • To maintain a good housekeeping and a safe working environmental around both for the incumbent’s own security and those in the area
  • Act always in full knowledge of and total compliance with company safety standards.
  • Support commercial team for identifying actual customer requirements as a basis for product selection.
  • Try different evaluation techniques in laboratory to assess or modify formulations to achieve desired performance targets and aid in product development.
  • Assess products on their ability to fulfil customer requirements.
  • Ensure that the projects meet required milestones and deadlines.
  • It will involve interface with Indorama colleagues in various functions to ensure projects are meeting scope and timing requirements. 
  • As required, this will also require contact with the technical centers in the USA, China, and Australia.
  • Understand the impact of raw material choices on the properties and costs of final products and formulations.

Required Experience:

7+ year Exp years in Paints Application

Required Education:

M. Sc./ B.Tech / B.Sc. in Chemistry

• Required Knowledge/Skills:
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Will show initiative, drive and tenacity.
  • Awareness of patents and their relevance to the work.
