Radiology Manager

Cary Medical Center is looking for an experienced and motivated Radiology Manager to lead our imaging services. In this role, you’ll ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging is delivered safely and efficiently, while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. You will oversee daily operations, manage departmental staff, and collaborate with physicians, administrators, and other teams to support outstanding patient care.

Essential Job Duties, but not limited to:

  • Direct the daily operations of Radiology Services, including General Radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, and Nuclear Medicine.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, including ACR, FDA, and The Joint Commission standards.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of radiology staff; foster professional development and high morale.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to optimize diagnostic imaging quality and service delivery.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets; monitor expenditures, inventory, and resource utilization.
  • Oversee scheduling to ensure adequate staffing and efficient workflow across all imaging modalities.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and calibration of all radiologic equipment; coordinate service contracts and capital equipment purchases.
  • Maintain and update departmental policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with current standards and best practices.
  • Implement quality control and quality assurance programs; monitor performance metrics and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary committees and initiatives related to patient safety, infection control, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Radiology department and administration, providing regular updates and strategic recommendations.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Business or Healthcare Administration, or other related field required
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Proven experience with regulatory compliance, budgeting, and staff development preferred.
  • State of Maine Radiologic Technologist License preferred.
  • ARRT Certification preferred.
  • Advanced certifications (CT, MRI, etc.) preferred.
  • Certification in Radiology Administration (CRA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in radiology/imaging services preferred.
