What Regulatory Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Regulatory Management is responsible for the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs designed to minimize risk, enable compliant business operations, products, and services, and drive uncompromised supply chain integrity. This role provides Quality Assurance and accreditation leadership for Cardinal Health at Home Solutions Edgepark Medical, Cardinal Health at Home, Advanced Diabetes Supply, US Med and the Velocare businesses. To ensure products and services comply with regulatory standards and to drive process consistency across the network and continual performance improvement.
Responsibilities
- Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide range of projects.
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures.
- Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models.
- Works or may lead complex projects of large scope which may have significant and long-term impact.
- Interacts with and provides advice to management and other personnel in the establishment of systems, plans, specifications, methods, and procedures.
- Assess data collected (complaints, investigations, training metrics) to identify trends and assist with corrective actions where needed and continuous improvement.
- Receives guidance on overall project objectives.
- Independently determines method for completion of new projects.
- Acts as a mentor to less experience colleagues.
- Is the accreditation specialist for CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Partner) and NABP (National Boards of Pharmacy).
- Provides guidance to the business in support of accreditation standards and adherence of the requirements through policy and procedures.
- Collaborates with multiple business units in preparation for accreditation site visits for CHAP, ACHC, NABP and support for URAC (Utilization Review Accreditation Commission).
- Responsible for the implementation and execution of the QMS system with a key focus on the Cardinal Health at Home Solutions Twinsburg, Ohio Distribution Center (DC).
- Provides ongoing guidance and direction to operations personnel regarding regulatory and quality matters.
- Widespread support for Velocare depots to include set-up from a new facility standpoint, inspection support, and continued Quality guidance.
- Works collaboratively on multiple projects to include new facility set-up, operations pillars for improvement, and other business initiatives supporting performance improvement.
- Supports DC during state/federal/accreditation inspections to include preparation and assistance as an inspection coordinator.
- Supports DC during internal audits and mock audits.
- Supports Federal, state, and local regulatory activities and adapts to changes.
- Assisting with licensure request to include research on regulations, having sales reports run, or general license assistance.
- Manages two employees supporting the Advanced Diabetes Supply and US Med businesses to coach and provides direction.
Qualifications
- BA, BS, or equivalent experience in related field preferred. Advance Degree preferred.
- 8-12 years’ experience preferred
- Working knowledge and experience with accreditation agencies for healthcare.
- Project management skills
- Previous leader/managerial experience
Expectations:
- Potential up to 25% travel
- On-site: Twinsburg, Ohio DC 3 days per week
Anticipated salary range: $105,100 - $135,900
