The Fresh Quality and Processing group is a dynamic team who collaborates with cross-functional partners to ensure every product shipped to market delivers the brand promise of a sensorial and efficacious experience. The Quality and Processing group is deeply involved in the complete product lifecycle from conception to discontinuation. We are keenly adept at monitoring the global regulatory environment for good manufacturing practices best standards for cosmetics and OTC products. Working closely with a global network of in-house and subcontracted manufacturing sites we strive to maintain a world class level of quality for our products.

Job Description

Your Impact to the role:

  • Identify quality needs in the areas of Quality Assurance; define and implement quality system, processes, procedures, and continuous improvement.
  • Own quality & processing SOPs. This involves annual reviews of department procedures and supporting documents to ensure compliance with evolving global quality standards including ISO, MoCRA (FDA), CSAR (China), and EU regulations for cosmetic products.
  • Responsible for active pharmaceutical annual dossier report (ADR).
  • Lead customer complaint investigations, facilitate cross-functional partnerships with fresh Operations teams to navigate change control initiatives to successfully resolve noncompliance events. Provide resolutions to global market partners in collaboration with fresh product innovation, communications, and regulatory partners.
  • Participate in the preparation of customer facing statements addressing quality events.
  • Manage quality audits, both GMP and Microbiological, to ensure the compliance of fresh and LVMH Beauty Division Maison manufacturing partners. Review of action items with LVMH Beauty Division Quality Committee, and facilitation of remediations.
  • Identify and manage appropriate testing plan in according with global regulatory agencies to ensure and maintain compliance.
  • Support innovation projects, through active collaboration with project development partners, to ensure new product development and sustainability initiatives are launched successfully with respect to procurement and manufacturing deadlines.
  • Actively collaborate with LVMH Beauty Division Quality Committee to “speak with one voice” and participate as SME for global GMP principals and compliance initiatives.

What you will achieve in 12 months:

  • Participate in or lead microbiological and GMP audits of fresh subcontractors and component vendors.
  • Maintain the fresh Operations Quality SOP library and ensure it is up to date with evolving global GMP requirements.
  • Participation in internal task forces and with external industry groups to represent the fresh quality program.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position on average of 7.5 hours/day.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, and operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Field quality as needed.

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE

You have:

  • A minimum of 5+ Years of Experience Required in a Quality Assurance function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Microbiology or a related technical discipline
  • Experience in Quality Control/Quality Management is a plus.
  • Experience in cosmetics (preferred), consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, or flavor and fragrance manufacturing.
  • Experience with majority subcontracted manufacturing activities is preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of quality related cosmetics regulations and industry standards including MoCRA (FDA), CSAR (China), ISO 22716, 21 CFR 210/211 (FDA), USP, EC 1223/2209 (EU).
  • Expert knowledge of quality system, inspection norms, standards, and statistics.
  • Knowledge of raw material, bulk, packaging materials (e.g., plastic, glass, etc.), manufacturing processes of packaging components (e.g., injection, extrusion, glass blow molding, etc.), finishing and decoration techniques (e.g., silkscreen, electroplating, etc.), bulk processing, filling and finished good assembly.
