Role Overview
As Manager Quality Assurance, you act as the primary operational contact for quality-related matters in your region. You lead the Quality Control team and coordinate and collaborate with the Field Advisory team, ensuring all activities meet Driscoll’s standards. You report to the Manager Quality Operations Africa and support continuous improvement across production, procurement, import, and customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
You ensure consistent, high-quality execution across your region and drive operational excellence.
Oversee regional quality programs, testing activities, and daily fruit inspections.
Lead, strengthen, and develop quality teams and remote inspectors.
Guide growers through the Field Advisory team to ensure compliance with Driscoll’s standards.
Improve QC efficiency and set up quality activities at remote or temporary sites.
Analyze and report key quality trends and coordinate calibration sessions.
Communicate effectively on quality performance, non-conformities, and claims.
Organize training and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Travel regularly to coolers, growers, and customer locations.
Qualifications
You bring strong leadership, technical quality expertise, and the ability to manage diverse regional operations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Food Engineering, Agriculture, or similar — or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years in a comparable quality role.
- Hygiene and Food Safety training.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Proactive, service-oriented mindset.
- Strong Microsoft Office and advanced English skills.
- Leadership: strategic mindset, planning, collaboration, driving results, developing talent.
Other Requirements
- Moroccan driver’s license.
- Occasional weekend/evening availability.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
