As a Staff QA Engineer you’ll partner with our teams to bring our QA strategy, implementation and release confidence to the next level in our organization. You will be responsible for building our automation frameworks, designing, evolving, and maintaining our quality strategy.
This position will be based in our Bangalore office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you’ll do: (6-8 bullets)
- Develop and own the overall quality strategy for our mobile applications ensuring alignment with business goals, and objectives.
- Oversee Mobile apps release process, regression and performance testing to ensure high quality releases.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey Quality strategy, results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure high release confidence by thoroughly overseeing all aspects of application testing and providing clear and concise feedback to the development teams.
- Lead and mentor a team of SDETs fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Generate detailed test reports and metrics to communicate testing progress quality status and areas for improvement.
- Engage with engineers, PM's, stakeholders and other teams to understand and fill quality gaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and QA engineers to define and implement test plans and strategies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Drive AI-augmented quality engineering practices — leveraging LLMs and AI agents for intelligent test generation, self-healing locators, automated root cause analysis, and predictive test selection to accelerate release cycles.
- Champion an agent-first way of working where AI coding agents autonomously generate, maintain, and evolve test automation scripts while engineers focus on strategy, validation, and quality decisions.
What we’re looking for: (6-8 bullets)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance and mobile automation testing for Android and iOS platforms.
- 3+ years of experience leading SDET’s and quality teams.
- Strong understanding of multiple testing strategies, including verification and validation testing, usability testing, performance testing, automation.
- Excellent leadership skills, including mentorship, planning technical roadmaps, trade-offs and data driven prioritization.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI.
- Strong Proficiency utilizing and developing automated test using Appium.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with agent-based automation paradigms, prompt engineering for quality use cases, and a vision for how AI transforms the SDET role from script writers to quality strategists who orchestrate intelligent automation systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Skills Required
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and leading QA engineers
- Thorough understanding of software testing methodologies, QA tools, and Agile principles
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
- Strong database manipulation skills, mainly in MySQL
- Experience in test automation using Python, Java, Selenium, PERL, C#
- Good understanding of Linux administration and DevOps principles
- Experience in API testing using Postman
