As the Manager – Project Management, you will lead complex technology and business transformation initiatives from planning through deployment and stabilization. You will be responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and stakeholder alignment across cross-functional teams. Partnering closely with business, IT, operations, and external vendors to deliver enterprise-wide solutions and process improvements. You will drive project execution, governance, operational readiness, and adoption while ensuring initiatives achieve business objectives and strategic priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage projects from initiation through deployment and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and communication plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate activities across business, technology, operations, and vendor organizations.
- Manage project dependencies, critical path activities, risks, issues, assumptions, and mitigation plans.
- Facilitate project governance, decision-making, status reporting, and executive communications.
- Drive Agile and hybrid project delivery practices, partnering with technical teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Coordinate testing, deployment, cutover, operational readiness, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
- Ensure project deliverables align with business objectives, customer needs, and operational requirements.
- Monitor project performance, financials, milestones, and benefits realization.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and hold internal and external teams accountable for commitments and deliverables.
- Support organizational change management, user adoption, stakeholder engagement, and training activities as required.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development support to project team members and direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- PM Certification and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is preferred; additional certifications such as A-CSM, CSP-SM, or SAFe are strongly preferred
- 5-7 years experience in business and project management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods
- 3 years experience direct work, with a team, in a large-scale project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
- Proven experience managing projects using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), system integrations, testing, deployment, and release management practices
- Experience leading multi-site, enterprise-wide, or large-scale technology implementation projects
- Ability to build strong business relationships with other functional areas to best support mutual objectives
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project, operational, organizational, and deployment risks
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and bring focus to critical issues and business priorities
- Strong written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills
- Experience supporting organizational change management, operational readiness, user adoption, and training initiatives
- Experience within supply chain, logistics, transportation, distribution, ERP, WMS, or TMS environments preferred
- Ability to work weekends as required to support project deployments and critical business initiatives
- Ability to travel up to 25%
