We’re looking for a Manager, Project Management Operations to join our Engineering PMO, where you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of project managers, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery across various software development initiatives. You will focus on optimizing and executing processes, driving operational improvements, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration within the engineering teams. You have strong leadership abilities, expertise in project management methodologies, and a passion for process and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a team of project managers and foster a culture of continuous growth and improvement through coaching, mentoring, feedback and clear measurable outcomes
  • Ensure your team members have the resources, skills, and support needed to manage and deliver their projects effectively
  • Act as a point of escalation for your team members to resolve roadblocks or conflicts
  • Ensure there’s consistent alignment between the business, engineering, and other stakeholders throughout projects’ life cycles
  • Make sure processes are being followed smoothly and consistently, identify bottlenecks and propose innovative solutions to enhance operational workflows and team productivity
  • Regularly interface and communicate with executive and senior leadership teams, providing updates and insights on roadmap health and recommendations for process improvements

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management within software development environments
  • 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring project managers
  • Knowledge of the ad tech industry and ecosystem is preferred (i.e. Programmatic Advertising, Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs), Data Management Platforms (DMPs), etc.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple portfolios of projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and deadlines
  • The ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with a large number of teams on a daily basis
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and empower others
  • Self-sufficiency. You can execute with minimal oversight, but are not afraid to ask questions
  • Technical savviness. While a technical background is not expected, you should be comfortable with technical topics and able to discuss them with both technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Excellent communication. You can inform, educate, influence and persuade at various levels of the organization, both in written and verbal form 
  • Attention to detail. The ability to obsess over every single part of a process, at scale
  • Strong articulation/presentation skills are required
  • Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) is required 
  • PMP or other project management certifications are a plus
