The RoleThe Project Engineering Manager will build and lead a rapidly growing team of project engineers to ensure successful delivery of SCADA and related projects through the provision of high quality engineering and project support services. Working from DGM’s Banglore office, and from company and customer sites across globe as required, the successful applicant will contribute to project delivery excellence in support of utility customers in the energy generation transmission and distribution industries.

Your Impact
  • Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems.
  • Provide technical sales support of state-of-the-art power systems applications for real-time control systems, including sales presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Perform installation, integration, and testing of the hardware, software and system.
  • Own troubleshooting efforts for discovered variances and deploy resolutions in a timely manner.
  • Define project requirements through customer communication and communicate the requirements to other departments, as necessary 
  • Work as the primary systems engineer responsible for deploying complex and dynamic control systems.
  • Provide networking and system/application design.
  • Perform hardware, software, and system installation, integration, and testing (such as FAT / SAT) for projects.
  • Customize system, hardware, and network configuration based on customer requirements.
  • Provide customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty. 
  • Manage staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
  • Lead teams in the development of new solutions and processes.
  • Oversee project logistics and resource allocation.
  • Assist in creating training materials and project documentation as needed.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelors of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering,  Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
  • Strong technical background in automation and computers with at least 5 years’ of relevant experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX / Linux / Windows operation systems, C / C++ 
  • Experience with CAD, Visio or similar software.
  • Experience in Database structures (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Mongo, Cassandra) 
  • Experience with JSON, XML.
  • Experience with common utility protocols (ICCP, DNP, IEC, MultiSpeak) 
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Personnel and project management skills. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills 
  • Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.
  • Ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to customer sites.
