Manager, Products and Solutions - Mobile Payment & Acceptance Solution
Overview
Mastercard is seeking a results-driven Specialist Sales Manager to drive the commercialization and market adoption of digital payment and acceptance solutions in China.
This role focuses on expanding Mastercard's footprint across mobile, device-based, and digital acceptance use cases, including:
- HCE (Host Card Emulation) mobile payments
- Secure Element (SE)-based NFC payments
- X-Pay / OEM device-based payment solutions (e.g., mobile wallets, wearables, IoT)
- Digital acceptance solutions (e.g., mobile POS, Tap on Phone, softPOS, and innovative merchant acceptance technologies)
This is a client-facing, quota-carrying specialist sales role with direct accountability for business performance, including solution adoption, transaction volume, revenue growth, and pipeline development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Specialist Sales & Commercial Ownership
- Own and deliver against key business targets, including transaction volume, revenue, pipeline, and adoption
- Drive full sales cycle and deal closure
2. Solution Selling & Client Engagement
- Act as SME and lead solution pitching and demos
- Support clients in deploying mobile payment and digital acceptance solutions
3. Go-to-Market & Market Expansion
- Execute GTM strategies and expand ecosystem partnerships
4. Product & Localization Collaboration
- Provide market feedback and support localization needs
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field • 10+ years of experience in digital payments, fintech, or card payments product management• Proven experience in:
o Mobile payment solutions (HCE and/or SE-based)
o Device/OEM-based payment ecosystems (X-Pay, tokenized payments, wearables)
Preferred Qualifications• Experience working with:
o Global card schemes
o PSPs, gateways, or large eCommerce platforms
o OEMs or major digital wallet providers• Familiarity with tokenization platforms (e.g., MDES), Secure COF frameworks and tokenized eCommerce standards• Experience in commercial roles with revenue targets • Understanding of compliance and certification processes• Agile/Scrum or project management certification is a plus
Domain Knowledge Requirements• Strong understanding of:
o Tokenization (e.g., MDES or similar platforms)
o EMVCo standards and chip/payment protocols
o NFC, HCE, SE, and digital wallet architectures
Skills & Competencies• Strong product + commercial ownership mindset (growth, revenue, KPIs)• Proven ability to drive business outcomes, not just product delivery• Excellent client-facing, pitching, and influencing skills• Ability to bridge business, product, and engineering perspectives• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities• High ownership, execution focus, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
