TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered on time and at optimised cost.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand.
- Ensure that production meets highest quality standards and specifications.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, including unionized workmen.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Address and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise within the team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimize resources.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and documentation
PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in precision cutting tools and total experience should not be less than 15 years.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in production planning. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must know to speak fluent Kannada
- Experience in managing unionized workmen.
