As the Product Owner for the GCash Card, you will be the dedicated leader responsible for the ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and growth of this specific product line. This role is focused on the Business As Usual (BAU) aspects of the card lifecycle, including new feature enhancements, ensuring compliance with scheme and regulatory mandates, driving product hygiene, and managing growth initiatives within the existing platform framework. You will collaborate closely with the other Card stakeholders to ensure alignment while maintaining a distinct scope focused solely on the Card portfolio.
You will be responsible for the following:
Own product design, delivery, and ongoing enhancements of the GCash Card aligned with business strategy.
Define and help shape the product vision, roadmap, and priorities together with the Cards Head and Product Managers.
Develop business cases and prioritize backlog items to ensure maximum value delivery.
Lead product experience reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with IT, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Marketing to ensure complete and compliant product builds.
Prepare user stories and help create Product Service Design documents for technical and commercial teams.
Maintain product reference materials such as decks, process documents, contracts, and dashboards.
Serve as the main liaison with card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) for product updates, integration opportunities, and compliance requirements.
Ensure governance and regulatory requirements are embedded into product processes.
Manage product backlog, defects, and enhancements through to completion.
Work closely with squads, tribes, and vendors to ensure on-time and on-spec delivery.
Support launch readiness through process design, documentation, and stakeholder updates.
We are looking for:
At least 5 years of Product Management experience within financial services or payments.
Strong experience working as a Product Owner in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
Deep understanding of card products, payment processing flows, and related technologies.
Strong knowledge of card schemes (Visa, Mastercard), including rules and operational models.
Good understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, consumer protection standards).
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with digital payments, mobile wallets, and tokenization.
Experience working in regulated banking or EMI environments.
Product or project management certifications (e.g., CSPO, PMP).
Experience in card issuing, fraud tools, scheme certification, ISO 8583, or platform migration.
