Job Description

The Product Information Management (PIM) team is looking for a leader who can drive vision and execution in a highly complex domain while developing a team of product managers. The ideal candidate should be comfortable presenting to senior leadership as well as mentoring and coaching product managers to deliver results.
Nordstrom's product and item platform is central to almost everything we do – how we ingest, manage, and communicate core item data and content that brings our offerings to life for customers. The Manager Product Management, PIM is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, championing the customer experience evolution through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs.

This role enables key capabilities and supports the agile delivery of new features and functionality for Nordstrom's Business Teams. The position is responsible for making sure we build the right products at the right time. To accomplish that, the team plans the product roadmap and prioritizes the applicable technology backlog, leads product discovery, and measures and communicates results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment. In this role you will be supporting a team of product managers and business analysts who define and deliver our product platform systems, and support users for this key area.

A day in the life:

  • Supports a team of product managers focused on PIM solutions, providing coaching and career development opportunities.

  • Leads the enhancement of PIM capabilities, collaborating with senior leadership to refine the strategic roadmap in alignment with business and technology partners.

  • Develops and executes strategic plans to deliver key workstreams that support a multi-year product lifecycle roadmap.

  • Drives partner alignment through an agile product strategy that enhances merchandising and digital commerce capabilities, overseeing feature prioritization across multiple teams.

  • Leads cross-functional workstreams in the PIM space, collaborating with product, program management, and business teams to realize business value.

  • Conducts discovery sessions with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities and risks, assessing feasibility and viability of major initiatives.

  • Guides requirements gathering across teams, analyzing processes, applications, and data flows to inform architectural decisions.

  • Partners with Engineering and Analytics teams to shape technical strategy and ensure seamless execution.

  • Guides the team to define and implement comprehensive launch strategies, including testing, communication, change management, and validation plans.

  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) across the PIM portfolio, driving analysis of performance factors.

You consistently demonstrate the following strengths:

  • Energy and initiative in solving complex problems. You share passion for your product domain and, most importantly, your team's growth.

  • Leadership presence and ability to influence across all levels of the organization. You build strong relationships and drive alignment.

  • Problem-solving: You tackle complex technical and organizational challenges. You help others understand issues (said and unsaid), guide solution development, and ensure clear ownership through resolution.

  • Adaptive: You balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, helping your team navigate both.

  • Adept at dealing with ambiguity at scale and you use quantitative analysis to improve quality of decisions.

  • Evangelization of your vision and roadmap to all stakeholders (execs, engineering, customers/users) while developing these skills in your team.

You own this if you have…

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, technology, or ecommerce, with at least 3 years managing.

  • Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing product teams.

  • Domain expertise in enterprise PIM solutions, master data management, and/or similar backend data platforms.

  • Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives in a large enterprise environment.

  • Ability to define, measure, and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities while coaching others to do the same.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at executive levels.
