Mastercard Prepaid Management Services (MPMS) delivers end-to-end prepaid card solutions across travel, transit, foreign exchange, gifting, and buy-now-pay-later segments. As a fintech enabler, MPMS operates a scalable, modular platform that supports a global portfolio of prepaid programmes, combining innovation with operational excellence.
Role Purpose:
The Manager, Product Development is responsible for driving the successful delivery of product roadmap initiatives from concept through to customer readiness, ensuring alignment with business objectives and value creation. Acting as a Product Owner within a SAFe Agile environment, the role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, ownership of the product backlog, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality platform capabilities. This position plays a key role in bridging technical execution and business outcomes, supporting the end-to-end software development lifecycle and product integration efforts.
Key Responsibilities: • Drive the delivery of API product roadmap initiatives, from concept through implementation and customer readiness• Act as Product Owner for API capabilities, managing the product backlog, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment• Collaborate closely with Architecture, Engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure APIs are robust, scalable, and developer-friendly• Support end-to-end product integration and delivery within a SAFe Agile framework• Enable go-to-market readiness including developer enablement, documentation, onboarding, and internal training • Serve as a platform specialist, providing technical support to internal stakeholders and external clients
Essential Experience and Skills: • Strong experience in API-first product development or platform-based product management• Proven experience in product development, preferably within payments, fintech, or digital platforms• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, global environment with diverse stakeholders• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and execution• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without authority• Experience translating complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused value propositions • Proficiency in SAFe/Agile software development lifecycle methodology
