IXL Learning, creator of one of the most widely used personalized learning platforms in the world, is seeking a Manager of Product and Content Marketing to help shape how we bring our products to market and tell our story as we continue to grow.#LI-CC1
In this role, you’ll drive the go-to-market strategy for key IXL releases, collaborating with product, curriculum, sales enablement and other teams to bring new features to life for educators, parents and students. Beyond the strategy, you’ll lead and mentor a high-impact team, elevating our product and content marketing engine while helping your team members thrive and grow.
Our ideal candidate is a thoughtful, hands-on marketing leader who wants to sharpen their strategic muscle, grow as a people manager, and evolve through active coaching, all while making a meaningful impact in education.
This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and marketing plans for new product and feature launches, including messaging, positioning, and cross-functional coordination
- Project-manage GTM process for multiple product launches
- Write and develop high-quality marketing content, including but not limited to: messaging and positioning documents, emails, web copy, print collateral, blog posts, case studies, and more
- Develop and execute campaigns to deepen engagement with existing users, and creatively reach new customers, in collaboration with the broader Marketing team
- Partner closely with Product, Curriculum, Design, and other stakeholders to coordinate and implement projects from start to finish
- Ensure strong communication and alignment between Product, Marketing, and customer-facing teams
- Assist with training our sales and customer-facing teams on product messaging and features so they can confidently communicate product value
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3 (one marketing associate and two senior marketing associates), providing clear direction, coaching, and growth opportunities
- BA/BS degree
- 9+ years of brand marketing and/or integrated marketing experience, including 2–3 years managing and motivating high-performing teams
- Strategic thinker who can build short- and long-term plans, ask smart questions, and make thoughtful decisions that balance company goals, customer needs, and resources
- Strong communicator—both verbal and written—able to collaborate across teams, influence stakeholders, and craft clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences
- Proven operator who gets things done: detail- and deadline-oriented, organized, adaptable, and skilled at managing complex projects and creating efficient workflows
- Customer-focused, with deep empathy for educators, parents, and students and the ability to balance business outcomes with user outcomes
- Knowledge of, or interest in, education/edtech and the ability to learn quickly
The base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 to $185,000 + benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
