Job Purpose
- Manage sourcing exercises for assigned categories, including market analysis, tender documentation, supplier evaluation and commercial recommendations.
- Lead negotiations within delegated authority, working with Legal, Risk and business stakeholders to secure competitive terms, clear service levels and appropriate contractual protection.
- Oversee supplier onboarding and due diligence, ensuring complete documentation, appropriate approvals and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, spend, contractual commitments and key risks; coordinate performance reviews and corrective actions with supplier owners
- Oversee requisitions, purchase orders, quotation activity and related documentation, resolving exceptions and ensuring transactions follow the correct procurement channel
- Advise stakeholders on procurement policy, sourcing options, timelines and commercial considerations, and act as an escalation point for operational procurement matters.
- Analyse procurement and supplier data, provide management reporting and identify opportunities to improve controls, systems, cycle times and value delivery.
- Apply sound judgement, maintain accurate audit trails and ensure procurement activity complies with CBD policies, applicable laws and ethical standards.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and quality review for Procurement Support Officers and contribute to consistent ways of working across the procurement team.
Skills and Experience
- Typically 5–7 years’ relevant procurement, sourcing or supplier-management experience, including ownership of competitive sourcing and commercial negotiation.
- Experience in banking, financial services or another regulated environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing stakeholders, supplier performance, procurement governance and contract-related issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance or a related discipline.
- A recognised procurement or supply-chain qualification, such as CIPS, is preferred
