Job Summary
Leads a team of Pricing Analysts to develop and utilize data insights in pricing the assortment of a business to business distributor while partnering with stakeholders from other functional teams to ensure that pricing optimizes both sales performance and company profitability.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Leads the development and execution of the organization’s price strategy.
- Consults and advises senior merchandising leaders on all pricing decisions.
- Ensures that competitive insights, data, and price elasticity are elements of price strategy.
- Champions company response to market conditions as they impact pricing.
- Analyzes sales trends and transactions to ensure pricing meets all market levels.
- Partners with peer leaders to develop, test, and implement creative approaches to customer discounts.
- Reviews and improves operating processes and performance metrics related to list prices and business performance.
- Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment
- Usually located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort, such as dust, fumes, or odors.

- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
