Job Description

MAKE UP FOR EVER is looking for a dynamic and creative Manager, PR & Influencer Marketing, based in the New York Office and reporting to the Director, Communications. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the beauty industry and will have a keen understanding of how public relations, brand activations, and influencer partnerships can elevate brand presence and drive market success. This role requires an individual who can seamlessly integrate influencer marketing strategies with broader marketing campaigns, handle product launches, and cultivate relationships with media and influencers within the beauty sector.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do:

  • Leading all aspects of day-to-day communication and projects with PR agency to ensure brand is building impactful editor relationships and enhancing press opportunities for the brand through creative pitching, engaging editor events, and coordinating interviews with key executives and makeup artists
  • Responsible for coordinating event execution and logistics including but not limited to, coordinating with vendors, product inventory, handling timelines, material organization, and set up/break down
  • Coordinate creation of press materials including copy for press releases, educational collateral, and product mailers timed with PR calendar
  • Responsible for leading all beauty awards submissions, product needs, deadlines, etc. with PR partners
  • Prepare accurate materials in response to the product marketing team’s requests, including product forecasts, launch feedback, etc.
  • Responsible for fulfilling all influencer, pro makeup artist, and media product requests detailed and efficiently
  • Main point of contact for all influencers, makeup artists, and press; maintaining and championing relationships to elevate brand
  • Develop and execute innovative PR strategies that align with the company’s brand vision and marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to orchestrate effective campaigns for product launches, promotions, events, and other brand initiatives 
  • Track emerging trends in makeup application techniques, products, digital media consumption patterns, influencer engagement strategies, etc., to keep MAKE UP FOR EVER at the forefront of the industry
  • Measure campaign performance using KPIs such as reach, engagement rate, conversion rate; provide regular reports on ROI to senior management
  • Collaborate with the Creative team and handle creative briefs for all collateral and digital needs
  • Share key strategies and relevant updates with Global team on a regular basis
  • Address public relations issues swiftly in coordination with legal or upper management if necessary.
  • Track and run department budget
  • Manage Communications Coordinator and team intern


Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in PR or influencer marketing role preferably within the cosmetics or fashion industry.
  • High level of organization skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Willingness to self-start and take ownership of daily tasks with readiness and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams as well as independently on projects/tasks without close supervision
  • Creative thinker who can brainstorm innovative ideas for engaging content across different channels
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic partnerships that have proven ROI impact.
  • Strong existing relationships with beauty influencers/media is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in social media analytics tools (Tribe Dynamics and MS Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong and effective in building and presenting strategy decks
  • Highly engaged in industry news and media landscape
  • Team managerial experience preferred

  • Salary Range: $ 90,000 - $100,000 per year

MAKE UP FOR EVER, LLC uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of experience, performance, and tenure. The bottom third of the salary range is the targeted pay level for employees developing in their role. The middle third of the salary range is the targeted pay level for employees with significant tenure in their role and are strong performers. The upper third of the salary range is the targeted pay level for employees with significant tenure in their role and are consistently high performers. While the published salary is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, MAKE UP FOR EVER, LLC reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range.
