Strong communication skills, energy and the ability to build trusted relationships will be critical to success.
What You'll Do
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of physical security and security intelligence activities across AustralianSuper's global operations.
- Monitor emerging threats and risks, producing intelligence briefings, risk assessments and recommendations for stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Oversee travel risk, incident support, security monitoring and threat management activities across domestic and international locations.
- Partner with business leaders, vendors and external stakeholders to deliver effective security outcomes.
- Support executive activities, higher-risk events and other security-related programs.
- Drive continuous improvement across security processes, reporting, governance and operational controls.
- Provide clear, practical and risk-based advice that supports informed decision-making and effective escalation of security risks.
What You'll Need
- Experience in Physical Security, Security Intelligence, Security Risk Management or related security disciplines within a large and complex organisation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior leaders and executives.
- Experience analysing security risks, threats and vulnerabilities and translating insights into practical business recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams in dynamic environments.
- Strong judgement with the ability to determine when to escalate, influence or drive action to reduce risk.
- Experience supporting security incidents, threat management, travel risk or protective security activities.
- Strong written communication skills, including preparation of risk assessments, executive briefings and intelligence reports.
- A proactive, energetic and collaborative approach, with a desire to contribute to the ongoing maturity of a growing security function, and experience, or a desire to take on leadership responsibilities.
Highly regarded:
- Experience working across international operations and global security risk environments.
- Understanding of geopolitical, travel risk, insider threat and emerging threat landscapes.
- Experience implementing security frameworks, governance practices and operational improvements.
- Qualifications in Security, Risk Management, Intelligence, Emergency Management, Criminology or related disciplines.
