About Boeing Aerostructures Australia (BAA)
BAA produces flight control surfaces for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (737, 777 and 787) and has over 1,000 employees working at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility situated in Port Melbourne. BAA holds the distinction of being Australia's sole designer and manufacturer of structural composite components for Boeing's commercial airplanes and has been operational since 1927 through its heritage entities.
All of BAA's production is sent to the United States of America for final assembly. The unit's expertise encompasses design and analysis, materials and process technology, testing, structural bonding, resin infusion, non-destructive testing, fabrication, assembly, and painting. The capabilities of BAA are enhanced by the on-site support from Boeing Research and Technology Australia, which participates in advanced composite and automation initiatives.

About Finance at BAA
The BAA Finance team enable the business to meet its financial objectives through goal setting, business partnering, forecasting, planning and reporting. The team comprises financial accountants, finance business partners, estimators, contracts specialists and finance analysts.
The BAA Finance team reports into the Fabrication division of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, working closely with the Fabrication Finance team located in Seattle.
Internship in Finance
If you want to put your university studies into practice before graduating, the BAA Finance Intern opportunity will provide you with a hands-on insight into the fast-paced global aerospace industry.
Some of the responsibilities a Finance Intern can take on at BAA could include:
- Prepare and present meaningful reporting and analysis of financial data
- Team with manufacturing to drive business outcomes
- Identify and deliver process improvements
- Build networks and connections across a global organisation
- Involvement in cutting edge technology programs

This is a 12-month maximum-term contract position commencing in February 2027 and concluding in February 2028. During your internship, you will be required to work Monday to Friday on a full-time basis based onsite in Port Melbourne.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
- Currently in penultimate year of studying a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a major in Accounting or Finance
