Position Summary

Reporting to the VP Personal Insurance Sales & Private Client, the Manager of Personal Insurance Sales is responsible for driving organic growth. This role focuses on delivering profitable growth through proactive sales execution, operational excellence, and exceptional client experience across all regions. Additionally, this role will support new producer development provincially and scale a dedicated client retention function, delivering best-in-class service to targeted client segments to maximize retention, share of wallet and reduce attrition.

The leader will work collaboratively with regional sales and operations leadership to generate revenue and support the execution of business plans to meet and exceed budget commitments. Alignment with marketing, carrier partners, and corporate teams will be needed to drive sales results, enhance efficiency, and ensure consistent delivery of best-in-class service.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Managing proactive and outbound sales initiatives and lead management to generate new business across all personal line segments.

  • Partner with Marketing and Data teams to optimize lead generation, conversion, and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Monitor sales results and pipeline performance, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership.

  • Develop and implement an elevated retention service model for VIP and HNW clients.

Operational Excellence

  • Support project implementation for personal insurance.

  • Implement scalable sales processes, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, underwriting, and company policies.

  • Collaborate with training and enablement teams to enhance sales capabilities, product knowledge, and client experience.

  • Leverage technology, analytics, and CRM systems to drive productivity and performance transparency.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales and service producers across B.C.

  • Establish and promote elevated experience for all customer interactions.

  • Promote collaboration between provincial and branch sales teams to maximize opportunities and shared success.

  • Attract, retain, and develop top talent with a focus on performance, engagement, and professional growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Personal Insurance across sales, operations, or business development, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.

  • Strong understanding of Personal Lines, including direct sales, affinity and Private Client.

  • Proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams and deliver sustainable growth.

  • Obsessed with delivery of elevated customer experience and exceeding expectations.

  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.

  • Strong collaboration and relationship management abilities with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Level 2 BC General Insurance license.

Salary Expectations –

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
