Manager, Payroll
The Manager, Payroll is responsible for compliance, administration, and general accounting activities for LATAM payroll. Provides oversight and coordinates with regional payroll teams to ensure consistent payroll procedures and corporate standards. Works with internal and external resources to administer and process payroll for Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Uruguay. Supervises the administration of existing employee’s payroll. Develops cost control procedures to assure payroll efficiencies. Ensures all payroll processing activities are completed in accordance with published schedules, such that employees receive timely payment and accounts can be closed for financial reporting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead a team responsible for all aspects of LATAM payroll processing and compliance.
- Manages the payroll systems, including administration, compliance, and reporting.
- Responsible for working with local tax and legal advisors to ensure the company follows local regulations with respect to payroll.
- Ensure that all relevant data is processed and tracked through the relevant payroll systems.
- Audits bimonthly/monthly/quarterly/annual payroll data for accuracy. Verifies sensitive and confidential information; enters audited information into the payroll system to process payroll.
- Maintains the payroll database including demographics, deductions, rate changes, transfers, terminations and new employee data in compliance with Company policy, local requirements.
- Processes month-end payroll reports, including month end accounting transactions into the accounting system.
- Performs year-end reconciliation and reporting, issuing of year-end certificates.
- Resolves employee tax or other pay related issues.
- Conducts manager and/or employee training, as appropriate, on payroll, time entry, and relevant legislative updates.
- Serves as Payroll subject matter expert within the company and in UltiPro (UKG) HRIS.
- Maintains payroll general ledger accounts by preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations ensuring accounting deadlines are met.
- Primary contact point for external audits with respect to payroll matters.
- Provides customer service to employees in the area of pay, retirement and taxes as they relate to their pay, how to enter time or time off, where to locate forms and information on Company’s intranet, where to send completed forms, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 3-5 years of payroll experience (including, but not limited to processing, taxes, garnishments, compliance and audit).
- Minimum 1-2 years of people management experience (in a Payroll Management capacity)
- LATAM payroll experience required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Driven, innovative, and resourceful thinker capable of adapting and driving positive, progressive change proactively.
- Excellent project management, organization, communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship skills.
- Must have strong attention to detail, and the ability to accurately deliver in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Points:
- Working knowledge of UltiPro (UKG) and Workday
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) encouraged
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
