Summary:

The Corporate Partnerships (CP) team, within Advancement, oversees the ASPCA’s relationships with a range of companies who are committed to supporting animal welfare through product sales, marketing activities, employee giving campaigns and other engagement opportunities.

The Manager will provide active support to a select portfolio of corporate partnerships through ongoing review and management of marketing materials and contractual commitments, including assisting the Director, Partnerships and Vice President with partnership activities as needed.

The Manager is also responsible for crafting, organizing, and preparing communications and stewardship materials for all corporate partners, in addition to managing the department’s internal communications strategy.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to prioritize and work independently, and attention to detail are critical to success in this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Manager, Partnerships reports directly to the Director, Partnerships and has no direct reports.

Where and When You’ll Work

  • This is a hybrid position and will require occasional days commuting to the 8th Avenue ASPCA location in New York City. A remote option for candidates outside of New York City is negotiable for qualified candidates already employed with the ASPCA who are currently working outside of New York City.

  • In-person team meetings approximately once per week and in-person department meetings approximately 4 times per year

  • Some partner and/or NPO related travel as required (not more than 10%)

  • Attendance required at in-person partner meetings approximately 5 times per year

Compensation

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range is for new hire offers only, and staff compensation may increase beyond the maximum hiring range based on performance over time. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. The expected hiring salary range for this role is set forth below and may be modified in the future.    

  • The target hiring range for this role is $72,000 - $77,000

Responsibilities:

Independence Pet Group (IPG) and Other Corporate Partnerships


  • Support Director and Vice President with IPG relationship management, a $5M+ annual year-round partnership, including planning and participating in partner meetings, conducting research to remain current on the industry landscape, analyzing new creative partnership opportunities, and creating business presentations
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments to manage weekly review of all marketing collateral related to ASPCA Pet Health Insurance, ensuring legal compliance, alignment with ASPCA medical counsel, and proper execution of brand standards
  • Manage long-term partner accounts, such as BuzzRx, Citi Thank You Rewards, EHD, and CITM, by proactively anticipating partner needs, connecting partner interests with ASPCA mission and priorities, and identifying engagement opportunities.
  • Manage a growing portfolio of partnerships as accounts transition from Business Development to the Partnerships team
  • Maintain accurate and current records of partnership deliverables and notable partner interactions/activities in account files and department database

Department Communications


  • Develop, maintain and refine partner & prospect mass communications plans, ensuring messages are timely, consistent, engaging, and aligned with partner interests
  • Oversee CP team’s internal communications, including regular department updates and timely partnership announcements/updates
  • Develop and produce a welcome package in coordination with Business Development to be distributed to new partners and POCs
  • Create post-campaign partner recap presentations highlighting performance metrics and overall partnership impact
  • Utilize a range of software tools (Canva, PowerPoint, Airtable, email marketing system) to track and produce engaging content that features strong narrative writing, infographics, and visuals
  • Schedule external meetings as needed
  • Create department presentations in collaboration with the VP, Corporate Partnerships as needed
  • Craft department meeting agendas and compile notes for all attendees
  • Stay informed and up to date on ASPCA’s national programs and initiatives to support accurate and compelling partner communications
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals and partner engagement strategies

Partner Stewardship


  • Coordinate with Manager, Philanthropy to develop high-quality, compelling partner stewardship materials, including quarterly newsletters, timely updates, invitations, impact reports, and more
  • Assist with the administration of the Subaru Loves Pets grants program by organizing and creating impact reports for over 600+ participating retailers
  • Coordinate logistics for partner facility tours and other immersive experiences, as needed
  • Maintain accurate distribution lists for ASPCA Action mailing 2x/year
  • Manage ordering and delivery of year-end appreciation gifts for all active partners

Qualifications

  • Four or more years of related experience in general administrative skills and account management required
  • Ability to understand the ASPCA’s mission, strategy, programs, policies, and values
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees, department staff and the public
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience developing presentations, reports, newsletters, marketing materials, or other stakeholder-facing content
  • Must be detail-oriented and extremely well-organized
  • Technological proficiency with Microsoft programs, design software (e.g., Canva), and project management software (e.g., Airtable, Monday.com, etc.) required
  • Displays care and concern for the safety and well-being of self, animals and others, especially during stressful situations
  • Ability to coordinate work across teams and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Ability to exemplify ASPCA’s core values and behavioral competencies
