Position Purpose:The Social Media Channel Manager will support the Sr. Manager of Social Media Channels in driving the strategy, execution and measurement of social media efforts within a specific channel. In addition, this person will be asked to assist in the development and use of content (audio, video, text) that meets the needs of his/her channel and the role and intent of the specified channel. The Channel Manager will become a trusted member of the community, serving as a liaison between the community and the brand.
Objectives include traditional media planning and outreach, social channel management, supporting merchandising and marketing priorities, growing engagement in both traditional media and social, as well as driving traffic into stores and awareness of campaigns/products.
This person will need to understand the use of Social Media channels, how they can be best leveraged and current on potential uses to drive traffic and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design/execute communications strategy for Social campaigns, developing editorial calendars, positioning & messaging
- Advise & make recommendations on traditional & social media integration into business priorities, goals & objectives; share knowledge w/key stakeholders
- Direct external agency team in execution of activities
- Explore and evaluate emerging social media opportunities and tools to build strategies and proposals for implementing effective Social Media campaigns to drive the communication strategy for the organization.
- Listens, monitors and trends conversations, translate insights into marketing plans
- Ensure that programs are delivered on-time and within budget and that proper measurements are applied to determine the effectiveness of marketing and social spend and resource
- Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
- Analyze sales data, economic data, demographic information, competitor information and voice of customer data to develop and execute marketing strategies for key markets.
- Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders (e.g., Merchandising, Marketing, dot com, PR, and Social)
- Responsible for effectively driving partnerships internally and externally in the organization to include Marketing managers, as well as Marketing and Merchants to align communication campaigns to the business

Travel Requirements:
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
