Manager, Operations carrying responsibility of ensuring that the cold store are operated efficiently and profitably to maintain the highest level of service for customers of the Company. The Manager, Operations will be accountable for the leadership, culture, safety and compliance of the cold stores.

This is a position carrying responsibility of ensuring that the cold store are operated efficiently and profitably to maintain the highest level of service for customers of the Company. The operations Manager will be accountable for the leadership, culture, safety and compliance of the cold stores.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• 5 years plus experience leading an operational site – logistics / Cold Storage is advantageous
• Experience leading an operational team
• Experience with developing and implementing financial budgets, targets and reporting
• Experience with managing customer relationships and resolution of issues
• Experience in working within regulatory frameworks
• Strong understanding of profit and loss and balance sheets
• Proven history of cost control and improvement

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualifications in Logistics Management or a relevant business discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
• Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality and legality issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service, problem solving and influencing skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, WMS, TMS)
