Vantage – NA Business Operations
As a part of the Vantage Operations team, the Business Operations department is responsible for ensuring standards for operation performance, maintaining customer leases, producing monthly customer electivity bills, generating regular reports, and supporting Operational Effectiveness. The Business Operations department also works closely with all Vantage departments to ensure customer success from the construction process through daily operations and delivery activities.
Position Overview
This role can be based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA.
Vantage seeks a Manager, Operations Program Manager to manage a team supporting identified strategic projects and programs for the North American (NA) Operations team. As part of the Business Operations team, the Manager, Operations Program Manager will be responsible for all aspects of tracking and coordinating projects and programs for the organization. The focus of the Manager, Operations Program Manager is to manage programs consisting of multiple Business Operations projects which require collaboration with other departments and stakeholders to ensure all needs are met, reporting on progress at the executive and stakeholder level, organizing program increment planning, being accountable for roadmaps, and ensuring that processes are documented for future use. They will collaborate with Leadership in Site Operations, Reliability Engineering, and Security to oversee the fulfillment of organizational goals through planning and designing the programs including developing efficient strategies and tactics, proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues, and implementing corrective actions.
The daily responsibilities of the Manager, Operations Program Manager include leading a team of project managers and business analysts, working with the Operations Leadership on a regular basis to understand and drive the PMO strategy through Program execution, acting as the Operations advocate in meetings and requirements gathering sessions, delegating activities to appropriate stakeholders, and communicating progress of activities to the Operations Leadership on a weekly basis. A successful candidate is an agile leader with the ability to support multiple projects concurrently and has a background in SOP’s, COP’s, and MOP’s in a critical environment operations organization.
Essential Job Functions

Under the direction of the Operations Leadership, build and drive Programs targeting business objectives, Operational Excellence and scalability.

Represent the NA Operations team on meetings, programs, projects, and activities hosted by other departments to ensure interconnected dependencies are monitored, and alignment is maintained across the organization.

Organize and lead alignment meetings with program teams and the stakeholders to monitor progress and manage any critical issues which may require escalation.

Own and run Program Steering Committees across different programs ensuring decision making and progress is accurately recorded and reported.

Manage and lead a Program Team of direct reports and provide coaching and guidance to Project Managers, and Business Analysts.

Assign projects and govern programs while holding the team accountable and facilitating the removal of obstacles.

Road mapping, Critical Path, Executive level presentations, proactive risk assessment and mitigation,

Understand technical problems and solutions in relation to the current, as well as future business environments.

Understand the business processes, challenges, goals, and strategy of the organization.

Drive and deliver programs from origination through completion with proper controls, reporting, and documentation.

Lead a team of project managers and business analysts managing multiple interconnected projects and tasks at one time while remaining agile to respond to high priority activities and changes in dependencies.

Collaborate closely with other teams to provide analytical insights, process improvements, operational excellence and customer success. Use experience to improve all aspects of project planning, resource management, reporting, solution evaluation and implementation.

Drive change management and coach project managers on enabling change management within their projects to improve adoption of new SOPs, COP’s and MOPs.

Become proficient in the business and technical acumen of the project(s).

Interface with internal departments to collect requirements and documentation to identify process improvement initiatives.

Suggest and manage strategic programs through gaining support for ideas, best practices, optimizations, proposals, projects, and solutions in ways that are consistent with the values and mission of the organization.

Communicate regularly with management on issues, constraints, and project status.

Job Requirements

Bachelor in Business Management, related field, or equivalent experience
-
PMP certification strongly preferred
-
5+ years of experience in Project or Program Management
-
5+ years of experience in Business Operations
-
Demonstrated experience as a leader of leaders with the ability to develop talent and facilitate solutioning while managing multiple programs simultaneously
-
Ability to foster collaboration, build trust, and empower individuals while navigating challenges and driving continuous improvement
-
Demonstrated experience building organizational relationships, partnering with and influencing executive leadership
-
Ability to influence others through effective communication, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking

Data Center, high-tech, or rapid growth industry experience is required

Strong proficiency with industry standard project management software

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 360Suite – Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, and Visio

Proficient in SharePoint, Smartsheet’s, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
-
Prior experience with ITIL, CMDB, CMMS, CMS, and HTML knowledge base software is preferred
-
Exceptional analytical, conceptual thinking, and decision-making skills

Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and team leadership
-
Ability to predict challenges and proactively minimize roadblocks

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Fluent in English

Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
