Manager, Operations (Planning)

What You’ll Do

• Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials to ensure operation efficiency.

• Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.

• Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels.

• Responsible for sourcing and supplying raw materials, utilities and outside services, as well coordinating global procurement efforts.

• Coordinates with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs.

• Reviews demand forecasting and supply management to plan requirements for acceptable inventory. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system.

• May work with customers in auditing customer inventory levels and with internal and external vendors to comply with inventory policies.

• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team

• Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors

• Accountable for the results of a large and/or moderately complex support or production operations team including subordinate work leaders

• Applies acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent

• Provides input on resource planning and policy development

• Coaches team members on performance, completes employee performance evaluations and recommends pay actions

What We Are Looking For

• Typically requires 5–7 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent work

• Certified six sigma green belt preferred.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and business partners. experience.

• Strong understanding of warehouse logistics operations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiations skills.

• Ability to build good relationship with customers, suppliers, and internally with cross function teams.

• Resilience, energetic and positive attitude.
