Primary Purpose:
This role will ensure we are capturing the right information to meaningfully move our business forward. You will collaborate across the team and the company with project managers, engineers, quality assurance analysts, and strategic leadership to analyze sophisticated problems and recommend data-informed solutions. You will use your tactical knowledge of getting user behavior data from apps to data lake and your strategic approach to be able to influence partner roadmaps toward a shared vision.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, and Quincy, MA.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Partners with data product managers, engineering managers, data architects and engineers to ensure an optimal implementation of solutions in accordance with industry and best practices
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve the application ecosystem and strategize solutions to maintain stability
  • Lead the bigger data vision across systems - own the progress toward our data systems and be accountable for the strategic vision and tactical execution; including, responsibility for validity, transparency, accessibility, and scalability in collaboration with broader data teams and stakeholders
  • Ensure the platform meets all regulatory and compliance requirements for data security, privacy, and usage
  • Work closely with software vendors and internal IT teams to ensure that the platform's software versions and security standards are consistently maintained and updated
  • Responsible for keeping up with industry best practices and trends
  • Build and represent the data pipeline - ensure apps are sending the right payloads, that the QA team is performing their due diligence, that the ETL team's requirements are met, and that the Product Managers have what they need to continually drive user and business impact
  • Own the Playbook - Through filling gaps in past documentation and publishing easy-to-incorporate processes for integration, this position will make onboarding new apps and partners to our practices and expectations a breeze

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Technical field and Masters Degree in Technology and/or Business related field; equivalent trainings/certifications/experience equivalency will be considered
  • 5 or more years of equivalent experience in relevant job or field of technology
  • 2 or more years of equivalent experience in an advanced role or technical capacity, leading teams directly or indirectly
  • 2 or more year's experience directly responsible for guiding, training or onboarding team members in relevant technologies, capabilities or skills
  • 5 or more years managing Master Data Management delivery for Product, Supplier or location domain using tools like Stibo or IBM Infosphere or SAP
  • Proven experience leading large-scale master data management platforms and initiatives
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills • Experience with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Experienced in agile software development lifecycle
  • Experience with SQL, Master Database management concepts, mongo DB, Kafka, mulesoft, etc.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post graduate degree advanced training and or certifications in relevant field/s of study preferred
  • 3 or more years experience in Agile teams and Product/Platform based operating model
  • 3 or more years of experience in leading teams or advancing technical capability in teams
  • Experience in retail or grocery preferred
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with a distributed micro-services and/or Serverless cloud software architecture
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Data & Analytics Services (like Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks etc)
