What you will do
Own and drive the end-to-end contracting lifecycle, including drafting agreements from scratch, reviewing and redlining counterparty templates, leading negotiations, and ensuring timely closure aligned with business objectives.
Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, and strategic partnership contracts.
Provide proactive legal advisory on new business initiatives, product launches, and strategic projects, ensuring legal and regulatory risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated prior to go-live.
Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance matters under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
Support and execute corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, investments, and corporate restructurings.
Act as the legal partner to the People (HR) team on employment-related matters, including drafting and reviewing employment agreements, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations, and developing, updating, and implementing internal employment policies.
Partner closely with business teams to anticipate legal risks and develop pragmatic, business-aligned solutions.
Engage, manage, and coordinate with external counsel for specialized matters, including due diligence and complex advisory.
Monitor regulatory developments, interpret implications for the business, and proactively recommend policy and process enhancements.
Drive continuous improvement in contract lifecycle management, compliance monitoring frameworks, and overall risk management processes.
What you will need
- Qualified LLB with 5-7 years of PQE.
- Experience in a reputed law firm and/or in-house role with exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
- Experience handling cross-border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
- Possess an analytical and strategic minds.
