GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Manager, Learning Design & Development is a key role within DaVita’s Learning & Development Center of Excellence (CoE) in Wisdom. The Manager works collaboratively with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), key stakeholders, program owners, and other learning professionals to design and develop innovative learning solutions that leverage a combination of learning modalities to maximize the learner experience, learning effectiveness, and business impact. The Manager leverages advanced instructional design techniques, including human-centered design and performs advanced training authoring including multi-modal content development.  This position provides consultation on adult learning best practices and mentors others in advanced content design and development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.

Partners with Program Owners & Business Leaders to select best learning modalities and design technical and professional learning solutions that drive capability development and business outcomes

2.

Develop advanced content for high complexity learning experiences (ex: video recordings, animations, training authoring tools) to address required capability gaps

3.

Provide consultation to Village learning teams on best practices for creating learning experiences and leveraging common standards & templates

4.

Optional: Manages Learning Design & Development teammate(s)

5.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s Degree
  • 4+ years’ experience in instructional design
  • Demonstrated experience using adult learning theory and advanced instructional design methodologies to develop training (instructor-led, self-study, web-based, virtual)
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools/software (e.g. Articulate Storyline 360, Epic, Adobe Captivate)
  • Proficiency with advanced content design: graphic design, animation, and/or film and audio recording
  • Proficiency in a Learning Management System (e.g. Cornerstone on Demand)
  • Instructional Designer Certification

TRAVEL AND TIME REQUIREMENTS

Travel: 0-15%

Nights/Weekends: 0-15%

Salary/ Wage Range

$82,000.00 - $121,000.00 / year

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position. New York Exempt: • New York City and Long Island: $64,350.00/year • Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $64,350.00/year • Remainder of New York state: $60,405.80/year New York Non-exempt: • New York City and Long Island: $16.50/hour • Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $16.50/hour • Remainder of New York state: $15.50/hour Washington Exempt: $77,968.80/year Washington Non-exempt: • Bellingham: $17.66/hour • Burien: $21.16/hour • Unincorporated King County: $20.29/hour • Renton: $20.90/hour • Seattle: $20.76/hour • Tukwila: $21.10/hour • Remainder of Washington state: $16.66/hour
