Job Overview
We are seeking a new Manager, Learning and Development to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Manager, Learning and Development, you will join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs.  This opportunity can be located virtually, but will have frequent travel to our headquarters in Chicago and other office locations.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a company-wide learning and development strategy aligned with business priorities, workforce needs and employee career growth
  • Partner with leaders, managers and subject matter experts to assess capability gaps, define learning objectives and prioritize development initiatives
  • Design, develop, facilitate and continuously improve engaging learning programs, including onboarding, leadership development, technical training, compliance and professional skills
  • Manage the learning management system and training operations, including course assignments, completion records, learner communications, reporting and content administration
  • Measure program effectiveness through participation, learner feedback, knowledge retention, behavior change and business impact; use insights to strengthen future offerings
  • Manage the learning and development budget, external vendors and training resources while promoting a culture of continuous learning across the organization
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, education, business administration, instructional design, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in learning and development, training, instructional design, organizational development, or a related area, including experience leading organization-wide learning initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience conducting learning needs assessments and translating business priorities and capability gaps into measurable learning objectives and development plans
  • Proven ability to design, develop and facilitate effective in-person, virtual and blended learning programs using adult learning and instructional design principles
  • Hands-on experience administering a learning management system, including course assignments, completion tracking, learner communications, content maintenance and reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple learning projects, budgets, vendors and stakeholder relationships while using qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
  • Have great organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or doctorate in organizational development, education, human resources, business administration, instructional design, or a related field
  • Professional certification in talent development, human resources, instructional design, or change management, such as CPTD, APTD, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or an equivalent credential
  • Experience with e-learning authoring tools RedVector, or comparable platforms
  • Experience developing leadership programs, career pathways, competency models, or succession and talent development initiatives
  • Experience supporting technical, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or other project-based workforces

Salary Range: $127,920-154,960, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
 

Skills Required
