Are you passionate about helping people live their healthiest lives? Do you thrive in a dynamic, supportive environment where your contributions truly matter? If so, Medcan is the place for you!

This job is for a current vacancy.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and action-oriented Manager, Lead Performance & Optimization to own the day-to-day health of Medcan’s acquisition lead funnel. This person will wake up focused on one question: do we have the right volume and quality of leads, and are those leads moving through the sales cycle quickly enough to deliver our sales targets?

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Performance Marketing, you will connect marketing investment to lead volume, sales outcomes and revenue opportunity. You will monitor performance against targets and historical trends, identify where leads are falling behind, and work directly with Sales and Marketing to resolve issues through campaign optimization, improved follow-up, targeted nurture and other marketing initiatives.

This is a hands-on role for a curious problem-solver who is comfortable moving between detailed analysis and leadership-level storytelling. When performance misses target, you will dig beneath the total to determine whether the issue is concentrated in a product, audience segment, geography, channel, campaign or stage of the sales process, then recommend and coordinate the corrective action.

What You'll Do:

Lead Planning, Targets & Forecasting

  • Translate sales and revenue targets into monthly and annual lead requirements by product, using historical conversion rates, sales-cycle timing, cost per lead and available media budgets.
  • Build and maintain lead forecasts and pacing plans that show required versus actual lead volume, conversion and spend by product.
  • Monitor performance, explaining material variances and identifying emerging risks before targets are missed.
  • Partner with Growth (Sales), Product and Analytics stakeholders to pressure-test assumptions, model scenarios and recommend where budgets or lead targets should be adjusted.

Lead Funnel Management & Sales Activation

  • Own the daily and weekly view of the open lead pipeline, including lead volume, status, age, stage progression, contact rates and sales follow-up.
  • Identify leads that are unassigned, untouched, stalled or aging beyond agreed service levels, and work directly with Sales leaders and teams to drive action.
  • Establish a consistent feedback loop with Sales to understand which leads are converting, which are not, and the reasons behind the outcome.
  • Determine where Marketing should intervene with nurture programs, remarketing, call-down campaigns, revised messaging or other conversion support.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to improve lead routing, status definitions, dispositioning, follow-up expectations and closed-loop reporting.

Performance Diagnosis & Optimization

  • Analyze performance at a granular level across product, campaign, channel, audience segment, geography, creative, offer and funnel stage.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis when lead volume, quality, conversion, cost or sales outcomes are below target, distinguishing media issues from sales-process, tracking, targeting, offer or experience issues.
  • Identify underperforming and high-performing lead cohorts, then translate findings into clear recommendations for media optimization and audience expansion.
  • Work with the Senior Manager, Digital Performance Marketing and media partners to shift investment toward channels, campaigns and segments that generate stronger sales opportunities, not simply lower-cost leads.
  • Develop testable hypotheses and measurement plans to improve lead quality, speed-to-lead, funnel progression and conversion.

Reporting, Insights & Leadership Communication

  • Own recurring lead-performance reporting for Marketing, Sales and leadership, including actuals versus target, forecast, key drivers, risks and recommended actions.
  • Build concise executive narratives that connect spend, lead volume, lead quality, conversion and sales outcomes by product and channel.
  • Work with Analytics to define and improve dashboards, ensuring metrics are accurate, clearly defined and decision ready.
  • Maintain a clear action log that assigns owners and timelines to performance issues, and report back on whether interventions delivered the expected result.
  • Provide leadership with early warning when lead or conversion trends put sales targets at risk, supported by a specific recovery plan.

Data, Process & Measurement Excellence

  • Ensure lead data is complete and reliable across CRM, marketing automation, media and reporting platforms.
  • Document metric definitions, funnel stages, source and campaign logic, and reporting assumptions so Marketing and Sales operate from a consistent view of performance.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations and Technology teams to resolve tracking, integration, routing and data-quality issues.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in performance marketing analytics, lead management, revenue operations, sales operations, marketing operations or a related role.
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in business, Marketing, Analytics, Finance or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate sales targets, conversion rates, cost assumptions and budgets into practical lead plans and forecasts.
  • Strong analytical capability, including experience diagnosing performance variance across multiple dimensions and turning findings into action.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Salesforce CRM and BI/reporting platforms. Experience with Salesforce and Power BI is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of paid media measurements, including spend, impressions, clicks, cost per lead, cost per acquisition, channel mix and conversion by campaign or audience.
  • Experience working directly with Growth teams on lead follow-up, pipeline hygiene, dispositioning, stalled opportunities and conversion improvement.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a multi-product, multi-channel, B2C or healthcare environment with both marketing-generated leads and consultative sales conversion.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation, lead nurture, segmentation, lead scoring and attribution methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau or other analytics tools is an asset.
  • Familiarity with service-level agreements, speed-to-lead measurement, cohort analysis and sales-funnel forecasting.

What Success Looks Like

  • Lead requirements are clearly forecast by product and consistently tracked against sales targets, budget and historical conversion performance.
  • Marketing and Sales have a shared, timely view of lead volume, quality, status, aging and conversion.
  • Open and stalled leads are identified quickly, ownership is clear and appropriate sales or marketing interventions are activated.
  • Performance shortfalls are diagnosed at the product, segment, channel, campaign or funnel-stage level, with corrective actions implemented and measured.
  • Media optimization is increasingly informed by downstream lead quality and sales conversion, not lead volume or cost alone.
  • Leadership receives concise, accurate reporting that explains performance, highlights risk and supports confident decisions.
