The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Manager, ITS PMO & Program Management. This position has direct leadership and governance over the ITS Project Management Office (PMO) and Technology Delivery Management (TDM) functions. The incumbent will have a strong background in project management, IT governance, and technology delivery. The leader will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction of ITS project initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering high-quality technology solutions, on-time and within budget.
Day in the Life:
- Establish and oversee the ITS Project Management Office (PMO) to standardize project management practices, methodologies, and tools across the organization
- Oversee the Technology Delivery Management (TDM) function, ensuring that technology solutions are delivered in accordance with business requirements and standards
- Lead a team of Project Managers, Program Managers, Project Coordinators and Technical Delivery Managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective project execution and delivery
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT leaders and resources to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, and ensure alignment with strategic and organizational priorities
- Develop and maintain project management frameworks, templates, and processes to support the successful delivery of IT projects and programs
- Manage the IT project portfolio, including prioritization and resource allocation
- Implement and maintain project management tools and systems to support project planning, tracking, and reporting, and ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle
- Drive continuous improvement in project management practices and processes, leveraging lessons learned and best practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to project delivery, resource utilization, and project portfolio performance
- Meet regularly with ITS leadership and organizational stakeholders to review resource capacity plan and availability, project pipeline, progress and health status
- Lead and drive conversations in a diverse constituency and utilizes strong leadership and problem-solving skills and have the ability to negotiate with and influence others across all organizational levels; ability to influence senior level executives to make appropriate business decisions
- Partner with leaders across the IT Strategy & Performance teams to develop and implement solution roadmaps and to ensure successful initiatives across the organization
- Develop and enable partner relationships across the organization, specifically within the ePMO and Product, to accomplish collaborative goals and ensure strategic business objectives are successfully carried out
- Identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities related to capacity management, scheduling, and project tracking and reporting;
- Build cross functional/organizational relationships to complete stage-gated portfolio strategies
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the IT organization, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and professional development
- Implement and use tools needed for performance management and trouble ticketing; experience with creating dashboards, scorecards and other presentation of KPI status
- Manage the relationship and resources with 3rd party project resource staffing vendors and serve as the point of contact to solve any contract related problems, complete change orders and participate in negotiating contract terms and conditions, Non-disclosure Agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), and on-boarding.
- Provide direction and leadership to staff; guide, coach, mentor and develop staff ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
- Handle interviewing, hiring, promotions, transfers, performance appraisals, compensation, counseling and termination of staff
- Develop and maintain staff by applying the necessary training and leadership that will allow internal growth and advancement
- Direct staff, to ensure that all duties are performed according to department performance standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management related disciplines, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Project Management certification (PMP) or Scrum (CRM1) preferred.
- Additional certifications in ITIL, MOF, Six Sigma and Agile desirable.
- Ten (10) years of hands-on experience with IT strategic planning, project and/or program management, business analysis or relates roles, preferably in the FinTech environment
- Five (5) years of experience with capacity planning or demand management for technology projects required
- Experience as a supervisor or team leader or similar position in previous role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including creating and maintaining spreadsheets in excel as well as, executive level presentations in PPT
- Extensive experience using project and portfolio management tools, such as Microsoft Project
- Knowledgeable in global scale application development, delivery and deployment
- Understanding of Opex/Capex and Financials, software capitalization principles
- Experience with Process Methodologies – Six Sigma, ITIL, PMI PMBOK, Waterfall and Agile
- Ability to travel as needed to successfully perform position responsibilities
For California, Colorado and New York Applicants: In accordance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is between:
$117,000.00 - $152,100.00
Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
