We are currently seeking a Manager Insperity 401(k) Plan Implementation to join our team. Manages the Insperity 401(k) Plan New Business Implementation team responsible for plan implementation, including plan mergers/transfers into the Insperity 401(k) Plan, in accordance with the established procedures/processes, and the department’s business objectives and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages, coaches and trains individual team members responsible for new business implementation related tasks, including all steps required to implement a client in the NSPk in all related systems and applications.

  • Executes consistent audits to ensure quality controls meet department and organization standards.

  • Manages plan mergers/transfers from other qualified retirement plans into the NSPk focusing on appropriate client expectation setting, timely transfer scheduling, and successful coordination of asset and data transfer dates that fall within agreed upon plan blackout periods assuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

  • Works closely with business units, consultants, compliance, vendors, and department leadership to refine/define plan implementation strategies.

  • Monitors industry trends to identify process improvement, opportunities, and maintenance of industry standards associated with the implementation and transfer of 401(k) plans.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code and applicable regulatory guidelines connected with 401(k) plan implementation, vendor transition, and administration to new and existing procedures to protect Insperity from potential fiduciary and legal risks.

  • Manages the setup of client pricing and implementation related to billing in the Insperity CRM system.

  • Collaborates with new client implementation teams across the organization to continuously improve the overall client on-boarding experience.

  • Resolves escalated operational and inquiry calls from internal and external partners as it relates to implementation and conversion activity.

  • Monitors and reports implementation and conversion metrics to identify trends and report to leadership.

  • Monitors operational trends within the industry and the Company to identify opportunities, make recommendations for improvement and identify service and plan enhancements.

  • Serves as project lead on performance improvement efforts necessary to service a high volume of NSPk plan implementations and plan mergers.

  • Reviews and monitors third party providers and their applications related to NSPk implementation to assure Retirement Services is using providers that align with industry best practices. 

  • Participates in key decisions as a member of Retirement Services leadership team, including efforts to effectively manage the department’s resources and to effect continuous improvement in the department’s performance.

  • Researches and responds/resolves inquiry calls from clients concerning implementation issues, as well as providing information and assistance to other areas of the company.

  • Makes hiring decisions through a targeted selection process of behavioral interviewing.

  • Develops, coaches, mentors, and leads team members for sustained performance through continuous feedback.  Communicates expectations in a way that that connects people, tasks, and resources to achieve business objectives.  Has an in-depth understanding of team roles to attain quality results.

  • Develops skill level of individuals through demonstrated leadership, mentoring, development, planning, and performance management.

  • Participates in group mentorship opportunities – lead by example.

  • Builds inclusive and collaborative relationships with team and peers across the department to achieve common goals.

  • Develops and executes plans with goals that measure individual and team performance.   Sets expectations for metrics for achieving goals.  Monitors and communicates progress to achieve high standards of excellence.

  • Recognizes the need for change and leads efforts to include others in the change plans.  Takes accountability to implement change through influence and intentional communication.

  • Participates in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree or four years of equivalent experience preferred.

  • Seven or more years of experience in the retirement services field is required, with plan conversion experience preferred.

  • Experience in the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry and with multiple employer or pooled employer plans preferred.

  • Previous management or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

  • No licenses or certifications required. Relevant professional designations (e.g., ASPPA QKA, QKC, CPC, NIPA APA, etc.) preferred.

  • Understanding of the various types of retirement plans, as well as the types of investments typically held in retirement plans and how they are valued.

  • Proficient understanding and interpretation of various file formats and converting them to a format compatible with Insperity systems and applications.

  • Communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment, familiar with modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment, as well as filing systems and business letter writing and competent in correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and arithmetic. 

  • Solid understanding of qualified retirement plans, including ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and relevant regulations.  Ability to read and interpret regulations and plan documents required.

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
