The Role

As an Initiative Test Lead, you will combine program delivery expertise with a strong focus on testing strategy and execution. This role is accountable for planning, coordinating, and driving key testing activities for highly visible Fidelity Digital Assets® initiatives and critical program deliverables. Working closely with Product Managers, Initiative Leads, Business Analysts, and Delivery Teams, you will ensure comprehensive end-to-end testing is effectively designed, executed, and monitored throughout the delivery lifecycle. You will help identify critical business scenarios, oversee testing readiness, and provide visibility into testing progress, risks, and outcomes. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who is passionate about quality, thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders, and is comfortable navigating ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Initiative Leads to define testing scope and strategy for features, releases, and critical deliverables.

  • Collaborate with Product, Business, and Delivery Teams to identify and prioritize business-critical test scenarios and test cases.

  • Coordinate testing resources, test data, and environment readiness to support successful execution.

  • Drive end-to-end (E2E) business testing for key features, releases, and launch activities.

  • Monitor testing progress, identify risks and gaps, and proactively drive issue resolution.

  • Ensure adequate test coverage and high-quality execution across the delivery lifecycle.

  • Track, communicate, and report testing status, results, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Provide input into initiative delivery plans based on testing timelines, dependencies, and readiness criteria.

  • Facilitate collaboration across teams to ensure alignment on testing objectives, priorities, and outcomes.

  • Support go-live readiness activities and help ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 6 plus years of experience in business analysis, product management, program management, testing leadership, or related disciplines.

  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives in an Agile delivery environment.

  • Digital Assets, cryptocurrency, or financial services experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, testing methodologies, and quality assurance practices.

  • Ability to define success criteria, performance measures, governance processes, and operating models across multiple teams and business domains.

  • Exceptional analytical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships across business, technology, legal, risk, and compliance organizations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment without direct authority.

  • Ability to facilitate discussions, manage dependencies, resolve conflicts, and drive informed decision-making.

  • Experience identifying and mitigating delivery, testing, and operational risks.

  • Self-starter with a passion for technology, innovation, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

  • Ability to articulate a vision, align stakeholders, and build momentum toward shared outcomes.

  • Track progress, remove impediments, and continuously improve execution effectiveness.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
