We are looking for a Manager of Independent Clinics, Spain and Portugal to lead the commercial strategy for our independent veterinary clinic channel. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving profitable growth, strengthening long-term customer partnerships and positioning Distrivet as a strategic partner for independent veterinary clinics.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the development and execution of the commercial strategy for independent clinics, working closely with internal teams to deliver strong customer outcomes, revenue growth and margin performance.
You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, identifying growth opportunities, developing account plans, monitoring market trends and ensuring that our proposition remains competitive within the veterinary sector.
What You’ll Be Doing
Building strong, trusted relationships with independent veterinary clinics, acting as a strategic partner and primary point of contact.
Developing and implementing account plans that support growth, customer retention and long-term value creation.
Driving revenue growth through upsell, cross-sell and strong commercial execution across clinic accounts.
Monitoring KPIs, financial performance and market trends to identify opportunities, risks and areas for improvement.
Leading, coaching and developing account management teams, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance.
Negotiating contracts, pricing and service agreements while ensuring alignment with profitability targets and business objectives.
Partnering with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and Regulatory colleagues to deliver exceptional service to customers.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a commercially focused leader with strong knowledge of the veterinary sector and the ability to turn strategy into practical, measurable results.
You’ll bring:
Experience in a senior leadership role within veterinary clinics, livestock, animal health or a closely related sector.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
Solid commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, margins, revenue targets and business performance.
Good understanding of veterinary medicine, animal health, livestock management practices and the regulatory landscape in Spain and Portugal.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
A degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Agriculture or a related field would be desirable; veterinary licensure would be an advantage.
