Job Description
Job Summary
The Impound Manager will be responsible for the oversight, leadership and process management of the Impound team, their functions, process and associate performance as well as requirements. In addition, the Impound Manager is responsible for the oversight, monitoring and relationship with applicable Impound Vendors for property damage appraisal, impound recovery, and impound location/detection. Responsibilities and functions include the oversight of processes, reporting, process gap detection, associate management and performance tracking. All functions, operations, gap identification and process enhancements should be facilitated and monitored for compliance with all regulations, compliance, policy and procedure requirements.
Job Duties
Manage, Direct and Assign volume within the Impound processes for appropriate handling within established policy and procedures
Staffing assessment and allocation for proper coverage for Impound Call Handling, Account Processing and Function Completion
Quality assessment of completed productivity by Impound Specialists as well as Impound Vendors for accuracy and compliance with regulations, policy and procedure for all Impound functions.
Identify process enhancements and opportunities to close gaps within all Impound functions to ensure compliance with policy, procedure and compliance requirements
Collaborate and assist other departments across the organization, as needed as well as with the Bankruptcy Servicer
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Six (6) years of related experience.
One (1) year of management experience.
Experience in leading processes and direct reports
Experience and knowledge in regulations, compliance requirements, and processes preferred
General knowledge of collections policies and procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Established verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Adaptable to changes within a face paced environment
Can effectively collaborate with peers and leadership
