Team Overview
This role will act as a manager of the Data Operations and Engineering team, a team of high-performance engineers and is responsible for supporting Marketing Services products like MTA and MMM. They will be responsible for managing day to day team activities like assigning task and issues, monitoring bug fixes and other team activities, plan development activities and backend deployments, ensure quality of deliverables. This role will partner and collaborate with stakeholders across solution Architecture, Consulting Services, Product and Engineering teams. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day team activities and facilitate the successful completion and delivery of team projects and initiatives.
- Monitor various implementation projects and make sure they are on track.
- Monitor various data deliveries and make sure quality data is delivered to our clients on time.
- Identify opportunities for ETL process optimization, process redesign, or development of new ETL solutions.
- Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Identify and allocate resources for various data related initiatives.
- Work closely with product managers, engineering teams, quality assurance, vendors and other teams to deliver the highest quality data to our clients.
- Provide guidance and expert opinions to team members on complex issues
- Works cross functionally with Product Managers, Solution Architect, Data Modeler, Consultancy Services to align and achieve team goals successfully.
- Develop deep knowledge of in-house tools and applications to suggest improvements and assist Advisory Services and Solution Architects.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
· Experience in Data engineering and good understanding of SQL
· Experience in distributed systems frameworks like Hadoop including hands on experience on HDFS, MapReduce, Google Cloud Platform etc.
· Bachelor’s Degree, with 10+ years related IT experience in Big Data.
· Good knowledge of UNIX environments and exposure to shell scripting.
· Working knowledge of large scale multi-node clusters with technologies like HDFS/ Big Query, Hive etc.
· Knowledge of database design principles like OLAP, OLTP and ETL.
· Work with an innovative bend of mind to develop creative solutions for data onboarding
· "Self-starter" attitude
· An effective communicator, able to clearly articulate; clear, succinct and persuasive at all levels
