OverviewThis key managerial role is responsible for the overall strategic direction, profitability, and growth of the Credit Card and Debit Card product portfolios. The Manager will act as the business owner, managing the profit and loss (P&L) statement and all key business drivers, including acquisition, revenue growth, and expense management. The role requires a high degree of strategic planning, expertise in pricing, portfolio quality management, and strong cross-functional leadership to drive digital optimization and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities1. Product Strategy and Profitability (Functional)
Manage the Credit Card and Debit Card products Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and all key business drivers, including new account acquisition, growth, and market share penetration.
Manage cross-sell efforts to existing and new customers with a full business view encompassing sales volume growth, revenue growth, portfolio growth, expense management, customer retention, and credit quality.
Review, formulate, and execute pricing strategies to enhance profitability against cost of fund, operational expense, and cost of credit.
Drive quality portfolio growth by working closely with the Risk team to target qualified and profitable customer segments.
2. Digital Optimization and Execution (Functional)
Optimize channel effectiveness by working closely with sales channels and expanding digital acquisition channels and platforms with a high self-service ratio.
Explore and realize product feature or process improvements for the purpose of managing risk as well as enhancing customer experience.
Manage the execution of product programs and campaigns, working closely with stakeholders across the organization including Legal, Compliance, Operations, Credit, and Distribution.
Manage and support the business in other areas aside of Credit Card.
3. Leadership and Collaboration (Managerial & Organizational)
Collaborate with two to three team members to achieve the overall departmental goals in product and marketing and to meet the top-line Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Partner and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders such as Marketing and Communications (MarCom), Analytics, Branch Sales, Telemarketing, Direct Sales, Finance, Compliance, Project Management Office (PMO), etc., to achieve overall business profitability.
Experience:
Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years of work experience, preferably from financial service institutions or Multinational Corporations (MNC).
Demonstrated experience in marketing strategy with direct exposure to the execution of tactics in a business-to-business marketing environment.
Proven ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels (business, field, servicing, executives, peer, and staff).
Leadership and Strategic Skills:
Exceptional strategic thinking and visionary leadership; capable of navigating in dynamic and complex organization environments.
Evidence of strong leadership skills and attributes, a high level of energy and integrity; demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and is not afraid of accountability and responsibility.
Proven ability to drive organizational change and foster innovation.
Oriented towards execution and able to execute through ambiguous situations.
Core Competencies (Knowledge):
Deep knowledge of the credit card ecosystem, product types, and market dynamics (Credit Card Industry Expertise).
Strong Financial Acumen and P&L Management, including understanding credit card economics, profitability, and pricing strategies.
Expertise in Risk and Compliance, including knowledge of credit risk, fraud, and regulatory requirements specific to credit cards.
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capability.
Communication:
Superior communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing product messaging, communications, and presentations.
Ability to think strategically and execute quality output under tight deadlines.
