Job Description

Focus on modernizing the grid, integrating OT and IT systems, and working towards achieving carbon-free electricity.

Provide consulting services and offer expertise and guidance in Grid Operations Transformation engagements with a focus on Operational Technologies (OT) such as SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, DERMS and DER Integration, and Enterprise IT-OT Integration.

As the Consulting Manager of Grid Operations, you will develop business, strategize for go-to-market, and manage client delivery. This is a highly visible, influential role entrusted with developing and delivering innovative consulting solutions. You’ll channel your entrepreneurial spirit as you use advanced technology to solve business problems. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to provide mentorship and guidance as you collaborate with your team.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Responsibilities

  • Manage client engagement for complex, transformational programs
  • Support the development of business and technical strategy, business case, and implementation plan for Grid Modernization and Grid Transformation across electric and/or gas utilities
  • Lead client interviews and facilitate engagement among stakeholders
  • Work with clients to document and/or discover current and future states business processes
  • Provide functional and technical expertise in various aspects of Digital Grid, Grid Modernization, and OT/SCADA
  • Perform and manage technical project work such as developing solution concepts, review of vendors’ design documents, requirements traceability
  • Support business requirements definition, request for proposal development
  • Support proposal evaluation, selection process, statement of work development, and vendor contract negotiation
  • Lead and/or participate in system testing
  • Support or act as project manager to develop project plans, key milestones, and project control structure
  • Transfer knowledge, capabilities, and skills to improve others’ knowledge and skill levels

Business Development Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the business development process as a subject matter expert (SME)
  • Support proposals and business development for utility clients
  • Create and/or support publication of thought leadership in areas of Digital Grid, Operational Technologies, and Grid Modernization

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a business/consulting environment
  • Expertise in grid operations consulting–using next-gen tech to solve complex business problems
  • Demonstrated experience navigating and managing relationships in large client organizations
  • Experience implementing enterprise-wide solutions with both business and technical focus
  • Ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate effectively
  • Passion for mentoring and developing consultants to fulfill their potential
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% per month

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in Organizational Change Management, and Business Process Improvement Professional certification such as Professional Project Manager (PMI-PMP), Professional Engineer (PE), or similar
  • Deep knowledge of and direct experience in two or more solution areas: SCADA, EMS, DMS, OMS and DERMS and DER Integration
  • Deep understanding of FERC regulations such as Order 2222 and their impact to electric transmission and distribution operations
  • Master’s degree

At Logic20/20, we believe in recognizing and rewarding exceptional talent. Logic20/20 offers a competitive compensation package, with a target base salary range of $110,000 - $177,000 for this role. The final base salary offered is dependent on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Eligible employees may also qualify for performance-based bonuses and other incentives.
